This photo series started after a conversation about how black dogs have a harder time getting adopted than other dogs. I decided to start a photo series photographing black dogs on a black background in my studio. Using social media, I recruited local dog owners to come to my studio to let me photograph their dogs. The project reached a critical mass and, once it was picked up by the Huffington Post, it went viral. This blog was one of the top Tumblr blogs of 2014 and has kept growing. The book is now available online or you can order it directly from me.
